Australian Pardalotes or Peep Wren.
I haven't seen them before but 3 were just outside my door today. They spent all day admiring there good looks in a truck mirror.

Choderboy I like a long knob More info | Oct 31, 2015 03:20 | #617 I have been observing dad sitting on nest past few weeks. The Monday before last there were two little white balls of fluff, appears one did not make it, good to see other chick getting bigger. And a familiar face, rarely miss finding her (and her mate) if I go looking. Dave

Choderboy I like a long knob More info | Nov 03, 2015 20:06 | #622 Thanks, I missed out on Powerful Owl chicks so was not going to miss these. I thought it was having a stretch, maybe about to venture out onto the branch, but then realized what it was doing. Starting to get crowded up there. Huddled up in the rain this morning. Dave

(7 edits in all) | glad they arnt near me as I would be camped under the damn tree 24/7 waiting for the right light to get both of them looking out with one/two eyes like you got in #1 and #4 and #1 of an earlier post ..And going by the way they are situated in the tree it looks like its pretty tricky getting the right light to counter the severe backlight which comes with shooting upwards not to mention getting a clear shot through the branches! ..... I would be getting a ladder if it was me and proberly scare them away in doing so hahahah... Clipper

I would love to see more eye shots of them looking at you if you can get them ....Got the potential to be a super winner shot if you can get around the light and clear shot issues.. I have considered a ladder but from experience I know it's very unnerving looking through a viewfinder while on a ladder. Don't want to end up like Molly Meldrum Larger chick checking me out, notice the bug on the branch above and to the right. Mouth open hoping the bug will land in it's mouth. Dave

Nov 11, 2015 19:41 | #629 Yesterday two couples of the paleheaded Rosella were fighting about a tree. It went really serious, never thought such a nice bird could fight so.
