I typically don't shoot much in the winter months, it's just too cold for my liking up here in Canada during that period. I' located in Toronto so I'm selling the Makro Planar locally, it's a very nice lens very very sharp, however I now have way more 50ish lenses than I need so I decided to sell it. Glad to hear the IBIS works well stabilizing the view in the finder, it's getting harder and harder to hold the camera steady enough to effectively use magnification. I had the Apo Sonnar 2/135mm ZE on my a7R II the other day and forgot that I had switched of IBIS on a previous tripod shoot. Painful! Got it switched it back on and what a phenomenal difference: a perfectly smooth EVF experience. You really need the a7R II to get the most enjoyment and comfort out of shooting a lens like that. I blow the sensor a few times a day. Nice shot.

Thank you! I really wish I hadnt cut his feet off in this shot but I like it all the same ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Zeiss lenses are definitely nice, but I honestly don't see much of a difference between them and the FE 28mm. Maybe I'd feel differently if I owned the 55/1.8, but just from browsing samples they honestly don't seem far from each other, although the 28mm has significant distortion and vignetting (neither of which bother me). Eddie xpfloyd lookalike More info | Nov 01, 2015 15:22 | #8562 Its hard to put my finger on it exactly, its as if I get more of a 3D effect with the 55 than I do with the 28. Like I say though I really like the FE 28 and the distortion and vignette dont bother me either Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV

Like I say though I really like the FE 28 and the distortion and vignette dont bother me either I feel like that's mostly due to the difference in focal length though. Naturally having more narrow DOF and a more compressed background will make an image "pop" more. Again though, I don't own one for comparison directly, just from observing others shots (yours are great btw Fuji X-T3 // Fuji X-Pro2 (Full Spectrum) // Fuji X-H1 // Fuji X-T1
