Here are a few from a recent wedding I shot. This was a very fun group! Long day but definitely had a lot of fun! Was my first time at the Ballroom at the McKay Tower in Downtown Grand Rapids, MI. It was difficult to turn down the many offers to stay and party! lol

I have my own gripes about the technical aspects of some of the photos, but as usual, I am my own worst critic. The clients are happy and that's all that matters. I still aim to fix the things I don't like each time though. ALWAYS strive to do better!

CONSTRUCTIVE Criticism always welcome! :-)

Enjoy!

#1: At Rosa Parks circle outside the ballroom. LOVE this mirrored building!

#6: Kyle is ALWAYS late and/or lost. This is a tribute to his... "aloofness"

Good stuff! I agree...the mirrored building in #1 really helps make that photo stand out!

Looks like a fun group to work with...which really helps keep things loose!

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! That is a pretty popular building to take photos in front of. You can really make the colors pop in the reflection!

The funny thing is, they were pretty reserved and shy when I did their engagement photos. Had to really work to loosen them up last time. This time was like they were different people!

From GR as well!
Well done. LOVE #2. Was that a natural flare "rainbow", or did you add it in? The composition is ALMOST PERFECT. In fact it took me a second to notice the sliver gal in the far right. But still solid.

I notice they're all with the sigma 18-35. Are you loving that lens? Anything bad to say about it? I haven't looked into it much, but it sounds sweet.

Thanks! We should do a GR meet!

That is a natural flare. I didnt plan it. I just noticed how they were walking back so I told em to "FREEZE!" Then I took the shot and got lucky! lol

I love the Sigma 18-35! I use it for 99% of the day. I only ever put it down in favor of the 70-200 during the ceremony or the 10-18 for fun venue/dance floor shots.
The only bad thing was calibrating it. Get the sigma dock with it and plan on spending a good 3 hrs calibrating it. Once its dialed in, its a VERY sharp lens! I did a review on it recently as well. You should be able to find it in the review or gear section.
