Awesome composition!

Burnett my old friend from the 70d thread, buy a 7dII and don't look back. It blows the 70d away in nearly every aspect. I do miss the flip out lcd and the wifi control.

Mine started acting up for some reason... everything turned to mush. No feather details at all on birds at any distance but extremely noticeable with birds in flight or birds farther distances away.

I noticed it the first time I went out after I installed the latest firmware update. It might have nothing to do with it. Anyway, I sent it to the NJ facility though CPS and got it back in just a few days. I'm going out for a few hours this afternoon so I'll see how it does. I did some preliminary shots right after I got it back. I took the same shots that prompted me to send it in in the first place: distance shots of printed signs and some statues visible from out driveway. At first glance, all looks well. I'll know more after I take a look at what I shoot today.

The Canon tech reinstalled the firmware and adjusted the AF. The note said it was front focusing intermittently. That always concerns me... anything intermittent. Tough to diagnose and even more difficult to fix. I hope all is well.

It looks like my S100 is getting fixed free of charge, so that's a plus.

I'll have to do more testing on the new firmware, initial tests on my 17-55 show an improvement, but I haven't done a lot with the long lens yet.

I'm really starting to wonder Kim if 1.05 is at the root of our issue. mine worked fine with the update I did. but they reinstalled 1.05 or so the limited paper work said

You did. :-)
FYI, I kept my 70D after getting the 7D2. I use the 70D with the EF-S 15-85 and also with the 100L macro. The 7D2 seems to be welded to my 100-400 II. I enjoy having two bodies.

Image editing ok; C&C always welcome.
