I totally LOVE this lens. I use it for my wedding and portraits. I wasn't sure at first about spending all the money but now I won't trade it for anything. My 70-200 gets a rest now. Don't take me wrong, I still love that lens as well. I shoot it alot at wide open and love the effect! I haven't found another lens to match it. If your thinking of purchasing it, don't be discouraged if you get a few blurry pic's at your first tries wide open. It takes a bit to get used to it.

This is the only lens I have ever grown to love. I mean, there are Very Useful lenses with Excellent Performance but nothing thus far matches the magic of this hopelessly heavy, clumsy, slow and overpriced piece of optical genius. If you are a practical type, get something else. This is for dreamers.

For goodness sake then, whatever you do don't pick up a 200 f2 lens. :-)

My sister, the professional baker and cake decorator once told me that my camera takes great pics. My reply was that I thought her oven baked great cakes.
