I'll be going back to the railroad track overpass at sunset, because it faces due west. I know the chain link isn't in sharp focus, but I posted it anyway because I really liked the composition. Winds in the midwestern US were crazy today, so I took the track shots quick and got back to the car, only to discover my focusing errors!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Nice Jeff - I especially like the composition of the second, and the harvester scene. I live in the Midwest too. Winds are rediculous for sure. Can I ask where the river/stream pictures were taken? I enjoy the farm shots too. Surrounded by farms here. It's can be a challenge to get a shot that captures the mood you are seeing in it.

Surprisingly, the creek images where taken right next to a downtown shopping district of a Chicago suburb of about 40,000 people. If I were to turn the camera the other direction, it heads under a railroad bridge and then a pedestrian bridge, through a riverfront park and into the river. Climb straight up from where I was shooting and walk 100 feet, and you're in the downtown. This is a really unique oasis in the middle of it all. Fuji X....BAAAAM! Renders way different than Sony.

(3 edits in all) | Nov 12, 2015 21:16 | #12938 This is probably my most recent photo with the 70D - took it for Facebook, as I ran off a roll of film in it, and much to my surpise actually got some images. A lot of learning to do and manual focus a big challenge, but fun anyway.
