i like the like button, but when there are multiple images per post, i'd like to like individual images.

Why not quote the thread, remove the links to the ones that you aren't interested in, & type, "I like this one"?

The basic "Like" system should really be there only for posts, but I have planned something similar (and more useful in image context) for the individual images, happens probably in version 1.5.

the like button keeps count. my comments don't (but, yeah, lot's of "I like this one" posts can look impressive to scroll through).

Why do you want to "keep count"? And if you like someone's work, then you can reward them with a <Bump> by posting in the thread & keep the thread from dying on page 5?

I think that the comments in the thread will tell you more, because people actually took the time to write something. And I'd be willing to bet that 99% of the people here haven't even discovered the "Like" button yet. ; )

There is, Chet. The one on your post, for instance, says 0.

Just to add my 2 cents about the "like Photo" if implemented in the futur ...

if we use a special "like" for picture only, instead to have the "likes" jeopardized when we use the "pick from gallery" in different threads, is it possible to group them? i mean wherever we got a like it's counted and showed everywhere.

Because after all it's the picture which is liked and people might see it in one thread but not in the others (and for sure people should not be able to "re-like" it in another thread if they see it somewhere else across the forum)

I got also an idea if the button "like this Picture" is implemented, beside the "Best Of" menu on the top menu "The Most Liked" with a need to have a minimum likes to enter automatically (like 5 likes or 10 likes)
