it's also sharp but it's just easier to manual focus on the 135 since you're closer. but i guess yah the 135 is a tad sharper.

another from the 200mm

How are you liking the 135 f/1.8? Was thinking about getting it... the hefty price tag and the autofocus system made me think that the lens can do much better with a fresher update.

Vinz, I have to say I prefer the bokeh of the 135, as well as the sharpness, compared to the Pentax.

Canons to the left, Canons to the right,
We hold our L glass toward the light,
Digitizing in a snap reflective glory
That will forever tell our imaged story.

How do you think the 135L vs Sy135 compare? I know you've had the SY for sometime now, would love your thoughts. Don't care much for AF, shooting with a a7r so peaking is good enough, just no IBS :(

i don't have the SY135. I think the Pentax 135MM f2.5 is the best. good size too. the Nikkor 135F2 is so heavy and big.

my only complain with the pentax though is... you cannot put on the lens cap with the hood on. hood is metal and screw on.

Nice stuff, both Vinz and Daniel.

That 135/2 SY is very tempting, but I already have 2 135s. hehe.

I hit up downtown LA again last night, so look for some new material up later today. Made it a point to shoot all manual, all small size, primes. Loved it.
I carried 3 lenses: FD 24/2.8, CV 35/1.7 and Vivitar 135/2.8.

Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.

If I were to get a 135 lens, at this point it would probably be the Canon since AF now works well on the a7rII if I recall. I don't do enough portraits to justify that focal length right now though and I hardly use my Canon 85 f1.8 lens either.

the price of the canon 135L + $400 for the metabones is a deal breaker for me. if the adaptor is 10bucks, i would go for it.

Understood. In my case I already have the MB IV adapter so I would just be spreading the cost of it over more of my Canon/Sigma lenses that work with it. AF. especially at the thin DOF that seems to be so desirable, is very important to me with my eyesight.
