the price of the canon 135L + $400 for the metabones is a deal breaker for me. if the adaptor is 10bucks, i would go for it.

i don't have enough canon glass to justify the meta bones price tag,any one have any updates on the falcon deo tech adapter for half the price and does eye focus on canon lenses,i think some one here bought one or borrowed one,b and h has discontinued them or i would try one,any one know of any other suppliers besides eBay that will ship to canada

How are you liking the 135 f/1.8? Was thinking about getting it... the hefty price tag and the autofocus system made me think that the lens can do much better with a fresher update.

So I picked this up used for a really good price this past spring, but it's a massive piece of glass and I haven't been using it much until recently. That said, I'm very impressed with it. Stupid sharp wide open, beautiful bokeh, and very nice 3 dimensional rendering even stopped down. The only fault I can find in it is some CA wide open...but it cleans up even at f2, and is basically gone by f2.8.

Only wish is that this were a native e-mount lens so I can use eye-focus. I've got an LA-EA4, but would rather use MF than bother with MFA. My keeper rate is pretty high using MF...though the first image with my older son is slightly front focused. I suspect that a native 135 lens will be out sometime next year...but optically Sony set the bar pretty damn high with this one.

I got the 135L for the reason you described. Between the 135's, the L weighs as much as other options, so I gave it another shot. It's great, however I have and use other options mostly.

I really want the FD 100f2 as a daily carry as opposed to the Nikon 105, since they are roughly the same size, but price is preventing the switch. Used ones cost nearly as much as the EF version........

AF or not, doesn't matter much, however, I really lean towards electronic for the IBIS on mount, it irks me to set IBIS FL when shooting a fast paced event. I hope I can find someone that does chipping for FE mounts.

My Voigtlander 40mm arrived yesterday. Love the look of it and the build quality seems great. Loving how small the camera is with it mounted. Dont like the 0.7m MFD so much though but ive got a helicoid on the way so that should sort that.

Heres two shots from today both wide open.

The reenactment shots were awesome-took me back in time.

These are incredible. Wonderful photography and fantastic - really wonderful - expressiveness in Callum's face. Lens looks like a winner to me.
On a depressing note, in that second shot he looks so smart he's making me feel dumb. ;)
