You don't look old enough for even grandkids Gene :) and yes Eddie an iguana.
Now a shot that screams why I love the Sony sensor, it was horribly backlit but so easy to pull shadow and see the beautiful face and grin, and the baby-

That is a great looking shot Gene. What lens was that with?

Thanks. I was using the FE 55 f1.8. I just updated the metadata for the post above too.

gear acquisition not quite satisfied, received the OM 24, and optics are nice, even decent wide open, however I bought an advertised as multicoat, which turned out to be single coat....... will have to do a return, but thankfully, it was from BH used department.

size of the lens is great, even smaller than the 55

Anyone here using (or used) the Canon FDn 20 f/2.8?

Charlie was right. I have one. I like it so far. It was my landscape lens during our last vacation to Philippines.

these two shots were with the lens.

How do you think the 135L vs Sy135 compare? I know you've had the SY for sometime now, would love your thoughts. Don't care much for AF, shooting with a a7r so peaking is good enough, just no IBS :(

When talking purely about optical quality the 135L is no match for the Sy135 (click here (external link) for a comparison).

SLR Magic announced a new lens. I mean optical quality will not be on a top level i suppose but its only like 2 inches long as a f/1.1 lens! I mean it is pretty damn small?!

Maybe not that great at f1.1, but probably good at f1.4 and very good by f1.8?

Was on an outing with a friend. He currently shoots only with a mamiya 7 medium format film camera. What he does is just insane!

Here two of mine with the FE16-35:

Love these two David! We don't talk much about our non-AA filtered sensors with the a7R and a7R II, but you've captured some moire on those perf panels in the top shot. Fortunately it doesn't harm the image, looks great regardless. :)

The black and white shot has wonderful tones and it's a really cool shot! A small suggestion: If, from the top of the hill on the left side to the top of the frame you cropped off exactly one half of the sky I think the image would be even stronger.
