That is a hell of a shot, Butchie!

How are you guys able to shoot in the middle of that tunnel without traffic being disruptive?
The couple of times I shot there, I had to do it guerilla style (park the car I was shooting in the middle of the road, shoot it handheld, move it the hell out when cars came by, etc). While that worked ok for just a car and natural lighting, I cannot imagine managing that with a model, car, and lighting rig...

Nicely done. Too bad the car owner didn't take the time to remove the front license plate for the photoshoot.

Very tough life, Robert... LOL!!! Thx for the comment... And Julian... In hindsight, we should've done that... But it was a very impromptu setup which I will explain below on my response to Dean's comment...

Timing was everything, I guess, Dean... And it was late on Sunday afternoon, so little to no traffic was going through... In addition, there was actually a car club photoshoot/meet up on the other side of the street... Initially, we wanted to use a Vespa Scooter for the fashion shoot, but that didn't happen... BUT... As the car club was finishing up their shoot/meet up, we flagged down one of the drivers and asked if we can use his car to shoot our model with... He agreed, but asked if he can shoot the scene as well... So we let him fire several shots of model Ximpy and his car... Good trade off, I'd say... We were all done within 10-15 minutes... Anyhoo... Hope that explained a few things for ya...

:)

That's a great story of how it all came together, totally random but stars aligning with fantastic results to boot. 15 minutes with lighting setup, that is amazing.

You can borrow my car next time!

Yup. Thanks for the heads up. So I'd call it "guerilla shooting" as well.
I need to get back down there ASAP. I have the cars. I just need the models.

Speaking of DTLA. Was there this past weekend.

Would like to see more of the friend, she appears to be "well equipped."

The other friends (not pictured) were better, trust me, LOL.

Thanks Dean for letting me try the A7RII, I know you were worried I was going to run off with it.

Here's some taken with the A7S.

I really like that 2nd one. Did not think to try that composition myself.

Btw, I know you were curious about high ISO noise with the R2. The Spider-Man shot above was at ISO 12800. Useable (albeit not print worthy).

Comparing my a7r2 shots to the ones taken with your a7s, I think the Rii holds its own.
