Eddie, I missed your PS. I'll make that spelling correction, thanks for pointing it out. And Annie, I agree with you too regarding spelling...and grammar too as far as that goes. It seems that they don't teach any of that in school anymore. Oh, and your Flickr pages are great!

Thanks for all the likes for my beverage shots. The best part is I get to drink them when I'm done. Hey! you wouldn't want me to waste anything would you? ;-)a

Nice shots of the liquor Gene. Looks like your always ready to party over there!

At the end of each picture you should write: "no beverage was wasted on set"

Zethar we were in CR for right at 3 weeks....imagine only 2 nights before flying home did we find out about the crap in France...we were're that lost in the wonders of the country.

Trip highlight was also the trip failure, my big embarrassment! I'd been shooting the yellow Eyelash Viper late in the afternoon-using tripod and 10 second timer. FORGOT to check
settings the next moring and watch a Margay walk right in front of me at maybe 20 yards--had him in my viewfinder/focuses and me pushing the shutter button. By the time I remembered
or figured out why no release the 10 seconds was up and the cat was gone! Pics or it didn't happen! BUT we saw one and that was a trip highlight.

Triplowpoint- getting on the plane to come back. There were so many targets I wanted, example the White Hawk-saw one at a distance but never could find him.

Thanks for the info! Sounds like an amazing trip.

Lismore "The Legend"

This single malt scotch whisky is aged for at least 21 years and is sold as a limited edition. It has a rating of 93 and is 86 proof.

I think I'm going to do a small series of photographs of my favorite adult beverages.

From a product/lifestyle standpoint none of the things in this photo are of interest to me. Yet they make a fantastic subject for a photo and Gene, you knocked it out of the park on this one. Beautiful work! The vibrant color, clarity, lighting, and composition are all superb - a wonderful treat for the eyes. :)

Question on uncompressed raw and crop mode.
We're headed to Conowingo in 10 days....of course taking the 7Dii and 400DOii + 1.4TC, but I'm also taking
the Riii and the Tam 150-600 just to see what it can do.
How many mp's will I get using uncompressed while in crop mode?

so "adult"beverages that may be seen by young family and work employers are ok here but a woman in a bikini isn't allowed haha:rolleyes:.sorry i don't see the reasoning. i did look at the bikini pic and the booze and in my mind are both very nice use of the sony a7 series.

Yeah I looked too. Just my opinion but bik's are ok, nudity belongs elsewhere.
How about a vote? It's not sharia yet :)

The bigger issue for many is that its NSFW (not safe for work). Many of us visit the forum while at work, while browsing the web usually isn't a problem, viewing racy photos can be a breach of company policy for some...at the very least it can be a cause for embarrassment....particularly in my case since I'm in open concept office.
