I have seen more and more folks posting D70 photos (myself included), that I wanted to start an actual thread dedicated this old timer of a camera. Post them up! Please include lens that was used as well if you can for reference.

First two are with the 18-70

I just bought one for a photo booth, but I'm looking forward to playing with the unlimited x sync from the electronic shutter.

My village called. I was told that they missed me.

Speedotron users, untie!

The 500 flash sync is awesome. One of the few cameras that goes that high. I have used my quite a bit and probably will hang on to it for awhile. Wish mine was the "S" model just for a bigger screen. Hate the tiny LCD, other wise love the camera.

Actually you should be able to go higher than that, especially with a long tailed flash.

I didn't realize the D70 took CF cards and now I have to buy some.

A few months ago I was finalizing images for my 2016 photo calendar, at the same time that I was watching and hoping for a 2016 El Nino / 100 year bloom in Death Valley. It reminded me of the 2005 100 year bloom in Death Valley, which I photographed on my trusty Nikon D70. Turns out, even this single exposure was good enough back then, bravo Nikon for 10+ years of such killer dynamic range!

At first when I saw this thread I thought it must be a typo, or I wasn't seeing correctly; surely the title was missing an extra zero or two. But I'll be damned!

I use the d70 as a backup to my d600.
