Looks like a nice area.
I'm so not ready for snow yet I just bought a new snow blower today.

Don't get me wrong I love the winter months and snow just not quite ready yet. That looked like my yard for the last couple of years.
This was 2012

First snow fall. First time editing on a 13 inch screen. I have no idea if these are over sharpened :-)

DP,
We got 13 inches here north or Chicago last night and today, I guess a moth on 60s for Nov had to end. . I thought about you comment about 13 in screen. If anything, it would be the opposite and you would undetshsrpen thinking things looked fine because it displays a little smaller for the same number of pixels (less magnification of the image akin to printing same pixels at different sizes.)

Dont take it the wrong way but I always wondered what a cottage looked like. I live in a remote location. There are hundreds of people who have cabins but I don't know anyone who has a cottage. Locally it is always going to the cabin. I wonder when a cabin becomes a cottage. Is it a geographic thing? In the more populated parts of the province I hear people have cottages. Maybe that's the difference. You have a cottage when you go from a high density population to a low density population. You have a cabin when going from a low density population to a density approaching zero. Can't be zero of course because you are there.

Just being silly. :-)

Some people call them cabins, some cottages, seasonal homes, and I have heard the term camps in Ontario. All the same thing.

We have more summer weather here. It won't end although it is supposed to cool a bit tomorrow night. I remain skeptical.

That is a good dump. I think my shots may have been from the same year.

I'm glad I found someone else that shoots like that. I'm right handed and left eye dominant, too. Everybody I shoot sports with thinks I'm strange. ;)

I did just order some of those Hoodman eyepieces to shoot wearing my glasses. One of the newspaper guys gave me one to try at the basketball game the other night and I liked it. I had the diopter just about pegged because of my bad eyesight so using my glasses allows me to center it. Plus, I don't have to put my glasses on and off to check settings or to chimp.

Ordered them from Amazon and they were supposed to come in today. I then got a text message from UPS of an incorrect address. I called UPS asking them WTF because I have had the same address for over 20 years. Turns out they put them on the wrong damn truck and my address wasn't on his route. Won't get them until Monday and I was wanting to use them at the football game tomorrow night. Sigh!!!!

And I've never had trouble seeing the right side meter.

Doc

Can you share which hoodman you got?

Thanks

Thanks! I shoot Manual often. Yeah, I remember now, hearing about the right-side meter in a post after they first came out. I had forgotten about that! I have the big Hoodman eyepiece on both cameras now, and love it. I bought them because I wear glasses, but have since found it best for me to remove them, and I can bury my eye in that thing! It should help with that side-meter.

I am very short sighted and need a good eye point to use viewfinders with glasses, despite that I have no trouble seeing the meter on the right.

The actual problem is remembering to check it, it is a little less obvious to the perphial vision than the bottom meter of all my previous cameras. Thus in changeable light it can be easy to miss.
