A snap of Sierra Madre, CA retail area/square. Started out to do a pano but with so much car traffic this was the only frame that wasn't obscured by passing cars.

Ford 1-V carburetor on a 200cid engine. Lit by a 580EX II flash with 24" shoot thru umbrella.

Nice Bob. How far away was the umbrella positioned? I've been thinking of using a mini soft box for some shots using the off camera TTL type cords.

The umbrella was about 4ft away.

Thanks for being the OG poster!!! Hehehehe... Took my Canon G15 (instead of heavier gear) for a VDay weekend at Temecula, California's wine country... Only had a Hoya Pro1 Digital CPL filter attached and it made a world of difference in the images... Below is one sample of the capabilities with this camera... More to come... Enjoy!!!

How do you attach the filter?

You have to buy the adapter (linky: http://www.bhphotovideo.com …For_G15.html/prm/alsVwDtl (external link) )... Then you can attach screw-in 58mm threaded filters (i.e. CPL) to it... You can take that a step further and invest in a 58mm step-up ring to attach a filter system (i.e. Lee Filters) for ND's and GND's... It's a nice little setup if you don't want to lug around heavier gear... Thanks for asking... Anyhoo... Here's another one from 3,500 feet above the ground...

I Wanna Go HIGHER!!!!

Our balloon elevation was a little over 3,500'... The red balloon was over 4,000' ... At least that's what our balloon pilot told us... It was so calm at our altitude... Slight mild breeze, but very stable and secure... I highly recommend adding this experience to your bucket list... Canon G15 + Hoya Pro1 Digital CPL... ISO 80, f/4.5 @ 1/2000sec...
