Hi all,

My son's varsity football team will be playing for the New Jersey State Championship at MetLife Stadium on Thursday, December 3rd at 8:00pm. It will be the first time his team will play for the title since the '70s and the first time I will get to shoot at such a venue.

I would greatly appreciate any and all suggestions from settings, to shooting locations, to anything you can think of!

Below is a list of the gear I use. Will this equipment suffice? Should I consider renting a 1DX for lower light and higher ISO?

Canon 1D Mark III
Canon 5D Mark III

Canon 300mm f2.8
Canon 70-200 f2.8

Thank you, in advance. Go Westfield!!!

You might want to think about renting a 7DII. It would make that 300mm feel like 480mm.
Go BRHS!

Typical lighting for night Pro Football at MetLife is like

ISO 1600 @ 1/1000 and f/2.8

YMMV if the lights are not turned up the same - I have no experience with HS Football @ MetLife

I think you'll be fine with your gear.
