I ordered a copy of the 35mm II and it just arrived yesterday. I've only had a chance to use it briefly but will be doing direct comparisons between the two versions over the weekend and will be posting my thoughts on the forums. My initial thoughts on the 35mm II are that it achieves focus VERY quickly and reliably, and that it is as sharp as advertised. I'm going to be looking at differences in bokeh, focus accuracy, chromatic aberration, and sharpness.

I look forward to reading your thoughts on the two. I've been wondering about upgrading to the new version...

Great lens... focus is way nicer than my old Sigma.

That's magnificent, Mark. Love the dark tones and composition.
