I bought myself a 150-600mm Tamron lens as I would really like to get a little more into bird shots.
But I know I have a heap to learn before I can really produce good shot after good shot.
I have the basic's but this lens has a dew things I am not use to .

Well a friend said I should have a go at the Moon and to be honest, I'm not that much into it.
But then thought why not. The Moon has been a late riser here at the moment like about 11pm.
So I had a long wait and then there it was and to bugger it all up it was only half a moon.
So it was better than nothing at all.

I am willing to learn and will listen to what other have to say.
But if I don't like it, never take offense to it.
It is just something that I may not like.

Sure about None, but then there are only few examples when half is better than Full.
Moon is one of them!

I have this Tamy and Love it unconditionally. Much more than Canon's L 100-400.

Half moons are better than full moons. Much more detail and elevation showing due to the side lighting. That's a great pic. I doubt you'll see that level of detail in a full moon shot.

Thanks for those views.
I will take them how you have said as I have only got about 6 shots of the moon.
The rest have been so bad I just delete them even when we had the blood moon.

But now you have got the brain ticking over to see what you have said.
I am not doubting what has been said, I just need to see it now.
Its one of those things.

I agree with the others. Full moons are boring photographically. Crescents and half moons are much more interesting due to the shadows caused by the craters. If you take photos at different times of the month, you will get very different photos of the moon.
