Thanks for that, I didn't see it before. Reset the remote and now the remote will adjust the power and turn the model light on and off. Still no flash. :(

Anyone know if there is a reset on the head?

No response from Adorama yet...

Have you used a non-stock trigger yet? Via pc-sync port? I would try that just to see if the flash works, bulb works, etc. It may be the radio system. Or it may be something else. Regardless, I would definitely send her back and get a new one.

Mine had a bad battery when I got it. Adorama replaced the whole unit. All I asked for was a new battery. They wanted to just completely replace the unit.

Very best,

Very best,

The test button on the head itself does not fire it so I'm thinking the capacitor is bad. Just going to exchange it, not worth the time to fiddle with something that should work out of the box. It happens...

I agree, if the test button on the light dose not fire then something is going with the light itself...

Happy Shooting:lol:

Yup! Replacement for sure. They'll take care of it. I went through it too and they fixed me right now without any hassle. Other than lost time to replace it.

My current Rovelight is in full working order and I enjoy beating down the sun with it. Great light. Even if there was a bump in the road on my first one.

Very best,

Very best,

I'm sure they will take care of it. I've always had good experiences with Adorama. I figure they are just swamped with Black Friday / Cyber Monday traffic. If I don't hear from them via the normal channels, I'll reach out to Helen.

I purchased this due to the favorable feedback in this thread. It's my first monolight.

Thanks, Helen, I didn't want to bother you unless I ran into a problem :)

Checking with our Flashpoint tech team - will come back to you as soon as I get an update.

Edit: If the ready light is on and it doesn’t fire, it should be exchanged…. You can test it with a cord too, but regardless, the button SHOULD work. Check that out, and if still no joy, please email me directly: Helen@adorama.com so I can forward on to get you an ERL

So you're saying it does not wobble that much? I hope it's not an issue, I'm wanting to use mine with my Cheetah Q-box. It'll be Monday before I can check mine.

The one I had (Bowens too) had a little play in the mount as well. Didn't feel like it would fall off. Returned it because the flash wouldn't fire, will see what the mount is like on the replacement.

Just got mines and it has wiggle play on it as well but not too alarming for me, I'm used to having reflector bowls do that.

Mine moves all over the place. Makes no difference to me since it's still secure and won't fall off.

As others have said, the mount is loose but causes no problems in use.
