What I don't understand is all the maps are identical. So if I chose "Sunset forecast for regions ONLY IN EST" it shows the entire USA and the same color patters as the ones for the other time zones.

It's almost a negative correlation: the most colorful sunrises and sunsets are almost always blue, and when they predict a good one it's usually completely overcast, or completely cloudless with nothing to reflect off of to produce color. I actually have better luck just checking wunderground.com for cloud cover, and looking for 25-50% around sunset. So I'd caution anyone against getting up early for sunrise pictures based solely on this...
