I must say I'm enjoying the 1dmkiii. Now I have to figure out how to get a decent lens. The Canadian Pacific Holiday train rolled into town, probably had 10-20 thousand people show up to see it. Nice weather, great time!

the Philippines is a large country, there are places in the muslim south where I would not go, not dangerous in most other places.

Went to Sarah G concert at Araneta. Traffic is the worst. I don't remember it being this bad. vmad

Have cameras will travel

Tony I'm really surprised you don't have a compact travel kit for traveling yet , my bag weighs 5LBS, contains 3 primes and 3 zooms, a body, a flash and a charger, I've never been happier -?

i used to have two of those 18LB bags and thought i was shooting for sports illustrated, one vacation with the 5D3 and 24-70 slung over my shoulder for the day was enough to make me realize a Fuji mirrorless was all I really needed, i bought into the system and have now lost 30Lbs of Canon gear, is the Fuji mirrorless a perfect camera ? No, but the lenses can't be beat and when Fuji replaces the $1000 body with a new one i expect it will be much improved and my old body will only suffer a few hundred in depreciation which is in stark contrast to the thousands i lost buying new Canon bodies :-D

Yeah, I'm totally down with the weight savings of mirrorless. Unfortunately, my old shaky hands need more weight for stabilization. I can never get a shot without camera shake with a p&s or phone camera vmad
