Hi from the short time I had to play with it it seems faster but it was very cloudy out there ( I would not normaly have even thought of going out with the camera )
So we will have to wait and see

Had a play with one of the BuyDig $700.00 sale price units that some how managed to make it to my door..

After looking at just the first few images I am able to say that the lens I received is amply sharp wide open @ 600mm. I was not really expecting that. No MFA, no dock, just straight out of the box.

I had packed a Kenko 1.4x TC (don;t have a SIGMA, and wasn't sure if the Canon would fit) and had reason to throw it on to try and bring some golden eyes in closer. Of course the moment it was on, the Golden eyes were gone, but based on a Mallard, when I could actually get focus right, it was sharp enough to be usable. AF functioned on the 7D2 with the Kenko 1.4x, but was slow, sloppy and inconsistent in actually hitting. Not bad though for a set up that really should not work at all.

Overall I'm pretty impressed, especially given the pricing. Didn't get any photos I'd care to brag about, so I'll lave that for another time, but just wanted to say I'd joined the club and am happy to be in it.

Welcome, Jake. It is a nice lens, especially for the $$. I bought the dock and set focus to "fast" and OS to "Dynamic" and it made a difference for me.

I'm waiting on a dock, glad to hear there is OS adjustment, I find it pretty weak on this lens out of the box.

The net effect of the O.S. options are all the same. The only difference in them are how fast vs smoothly they activate.

Something wrong with digestion as there's fish sticking out his butt? They don't usually come through that intact.

I think the talons may be located back there too.

Any one use this lens on Mephoto A1350 tripod?
I try it on it look ok for me, but I didn't it will be safe or not?

If this is your tripod, it says it has a 17.6 lb load capacity

The Sigma 150-600 C is 4.3 lb

so find the total weight of your camera body & the 150-600mm.

I'm sure you are good to go
