Tired of lugging around my big chunk of 5D3 to xmas party so i'm looking for the most compact camera that would fit nicely into my suit jacket or my pant's back pocket, low light performance is also a priority. Any suggestions?

I'd love to see some Sony A7 owner fit one in their suit, tuxedo, or pants, not very discrete with a big bulge sticking out from suits/tux in black tie party. :)

the A7 is enormous comparing to RX100 MK3 http://camerasize.com/compare/#467,487 (external link)

The Powershot S1x0 series feature fast (at wide angle) lenses; the current S120 offers f/1.8 at 24 mm EFL. They'll fit OK in a suit jacket (side) pocket, less so in the inside pockets or a hip pocket (but then, most anything bigger than a cell phone would be too big for those).

I'd choose one of the newer Sony RX options, but the S120 is definitely smaller. Basically the same width and height, but Canon is 29mm thick vs 41 for the Sony. Pretty big difference in your pocket.

Don't get a G7x, it's large than others make it out to be. :)
If sensor size doesn't matter, go with the S120 for its flat, curved design when off.

I will be shooting with my 6D, 50L, and holiday cheer. No tux for me.
