Found my first snowy owl of the season this morning. They have to be my favorite birds.

Beautiful shot of a beautiful bird Shane, well done. I have been out looking to no avail in my area, but there are several down in the SW part of the province. Trying to resist a road trip.

Thnx! They just started showing up around where I am. They have been coming to the same area since the 90's i guess.

That's a good shot. One showed up about an hour south of me yesterday, but I have not had a chance to go look for it since I've been working a lot recently. I'll keep an eye on ebird, and see if it stays local.

Very nice! We get quite a few here, I'm currently tracking 4 that are on my daily route, 2 are really hard to close to. If I can get off my Duff and do some editing I'll post some.

Looks like a nice young male you got there. Only seen 10-13 here so far so kind of a slow start.
