Hey,

Thought it might be handy if we have a place to share experiences of what works or not with adapted lenses.

Only thing I've tried so far is a nifty fifty, but have a few L series lenses I can borrow from a friend to test some time soon.

So perhaps keep the format of:

CAMERA:
ADAPTOR:
LENSE:
AUTOFOCUS: yes/no
APERTURE CONTROL: yes/no
IS PHOTOS: yes/no
IS VIDEO: yes/no

Metabones lists a bunch of lenses that have been confirmed to work or not work with autofocus. It's not complete; newer lenses are not listed.

Since Sony released firmware update v.2.0, I figured we could revive this thread.

CAMERA: A7II (firmware v.2.0)
ADAPTOR: Fotodiox Pro
LENS: Canon 85mm f/1.8
AUTOFOCUS: yes and no*
APERTURE CONTROL: yes
IS PHOTOS: yes, IBIS
IS VIDEO: yes, IBIS

* Face Detect works. AF is fast and accurate on faces. But weirdly, it won't lock focus on objects that are not faces. It appears to get close, then just spasmatically hunts within a small range, never locking focus.

Did you try both AF-C & S? Any difference in behavior?

Interesting. I have read positive feedback on this lens on Metabones with their recent firmware loaded. I wonder if that has something to do with it...
