So true! Actually this was a test shot for light spread, and i liked the movement in the photograph. The B&W just seemed to fit.

Not really sure what I'm doing here among such outstanding picutres. People obviously seems to know what they are doing.

This is a nice photo, I like the light and mood in it. What could have made it better is that the woman looked out to the window and to the light, like dreaming of a trip she is planning, or alternatively looked straight at the lens.

For a start you nailed it. There more to B&W than desaturation of color, and everyone here is learning just like you. Keep posting!

That's my wife there. I would never suggest for her to do anything, let alone disturb her reading. She's from Manchester, you see and without lifting her head one millimeter she would tell me to F off.
I'm inclined never to disturb what catches my eye as well. Who am I to alter coincidence for the sake of a 'better' photo?
