Dec 12, 2015 08:18 | #54 Oldtommo wrote in post #17814394 Sorry, guzzibob, are you talking to me? I'm still trying to figure out the order of things. Is that the way things go here? I post a picture and you tell me how to make it better? Seems reasonable enough, although I thought the shot was OK, otherwise I wouldn't have posted it. I'm like that when I leave home: always check to see if my fly is done up and my teeth cleaned. In all these years my wife has never once criticized my dress sense. In all these years no one has ever told me to sharpen a picture or alter the exposure. Is that a thing here on the Internet? Now I'm terrified of posting another shot. Cheers There is a Critique forum where people are specifically asking for comments, otherwise I've always felt it's best to say nothing in the threads where people are just posting photos that have some sort of theme. I would also say not everyone feels that way, so post away and don't worry about others comments, you know what you are trying to accomplish.

Dec 12, 2015 08:24 | #55 Good idea for a thread, I'm always trying to find minimalist landscapes, hard to do. This was forced on me, more or less, the shoreline was behind a fence, so needed to exclude the only possible but ugly foreground and to go for a more abstract-ish look. Sunrise about a week ago.
