When Angry Birds first came out, I also had just gotten my first android smart phone, so tried it. Not all my cup of tea. But fun for a while.

Have owned and played most of them over the last 35 years...Atari, Sega, Playstation, PS3, Wii, PC

Nowadays play the occasional PS, Wii, or Xbox with the kiddos. Still maintain a subscription to the iRacing online racing sim but rarely use it.

My first was a 386 with 2mb of ram, I was so disappointed I couldn't play Doom, I went out and got a 486 and 4mb just so I could play.

Half-Life2 Death Match on Steam, and the Call of Duty series. Started out on Doom with a Packard Bell 486. What a smokin' machine!

So I thought I'd check this one out... I kinda lost track of time and played for almost 9 hours without realizing it.

It's funny that way. Totally addictive!

And it never ends!

Once you get through the "stock" game, then there are literally an unplayable number of custom maps. The developer has been working on the whole custom map process, working with the user base community, and made the entire process so seamless you don't even have to think about downloading and playing maps anymore, they just automatically DL in seconds and open.

The custom maps can be so hard it's not funny, you can consider the entire campaign as sort of an extended tutorial or training missions to tackle what are the real hard maps later on.

Have fun and see you in a year or so. :)

Late to the party but I got a few games I play in spare time: WildStar, Far Cry 4, Just Cause 3, Fallout 4, and Skyrim. I suspect all of them will last me for quite a long time. I can never miss a good Steam sale though :p

I actually just built up a new gaming rig and have also been using it to edit photos. Having lots of fun with it!

Glad to see there are lots of other people interested in gaming here.

I just finished the 'stock' game, was a lot of fun. Went quicker than I had hoped. On to the custom maps.

Cool.

I signed up with Steam somewhere around Christmas and bought the Portal bundle for next to nothing. And then it turned out I can't play them because I'm still on Snow Leopard and Steam requires something newer. Damn. vmad So I decided to order a new hard drive for the Mac Pro and install the latest OS on it (El Capitan I think it is) to solve the problem. :-)

Traci Ann, you talking about Creeper World, yeah?
After Jake mentioned it I looked at it, but as always with strategy games, I just don't get it.
I'm sure it's me being deficient in something... :-P
