It could be due to the a7s being so good. The a7sii seems to me like a minor upgrade. Where as the a7rii seems like a massive leap from the a7ii/a7r. Well im not sure but i was surprised when I saw DXOmark ratings compared to the A7S. The A7S2 has a bit less dynamic range, color depth and is doing not as good at high iso as the A7S. Had to bring my gf to the mainstation aeeeeearly in the morning today and decided to go to the city with th A7Rii for a first real shootout with morning light. Some files needed special PP treatment as the light conditions were not very forgiving but i like the outcome very much. Second one is a 2 shot hdr. First time i tried in camera brackets but decided to only use 2 frames as lightroom messed it up with 3. Really rewarding when viewed big. Details is amazing.
