I'm partial to the CV 35/1.7 and CV 15. :)

My dilemma is I already have a 35 f1.4 with AF. I've thought of the CV75 f1.8 but I have a Canon 85 f1.8 and Sony 90 f2.8. The CV15 f4 sounds intriguing but I have the FE 16-35 f4 that covers that FL almost. Is there a 24 or 21mm lens in M mount that's compact?

I thought I'd be saving money with the A7II and manual glass, but I end up getting more than I need. haha

The glow from the tablet also reflected in their eyes and the sharp focus on your Son and the delight on his face and Papa a bit out of focus and his hands OOF too just has the perfect balance for me. Must be a very thin DOF eh?
Cheers

Some of the older canon rangefinder lenses are pretty nice and reasonably priced, you'll need a LTM-M adapter though. Here is a great resource on older Canon LTM lenses.

I don't have much experience with the Hexanons, there is always a fair amount of them up for sale here locally on Craiglist. The Rokkors are one of my favourite legacy lenses, love the rendering of those.

This is a fox squirrel. They are rare and the Everglades area is one of the few places to find them.

Went for a walk today with the A7RII/Batis 25 and RX1RII. It was wet, cold and foggy with a light drizzle. I tried to take some pics from the same angle with both cameras. I've come to the following conclusions from today;

The lens cap on the Batis is crap - made from the regular cheap plastic. It is extremely finicky and I can't tell if it is on the lens or hanging on the edge ready to fall off. The lens cap on the 1RII is slick and feels magnetic and locks onto the lens beautifully.

The battery life went to 50% on the A7RII after about 30 mins of on and off using the LCD. The 1RII battery meter does not have a percentage which would be helpful but did not drop any bars so I am assuming it had much more reserve then 50%.

The AF on the R1II seemed to lock on more reliably than with the A7RII and the Batis.

I absolutely loved the size of the R1II as I slipped it in and out of the coat pocket when I needed it - maybe this explains some of the battery reserve (kept warmer).

Absolutely loved the aperture dial on the lens of the R1II! Kept looking for it on the lens barrel of the Batis and had to remind myself it was on the camera.

The image quality is outstanding with both cameras. In fact, if they were the same focal length, I could not tell the difference in color, contrast and sharpness. Rendering and out of focus areas look very similar -- slightly more blur available on the R1II due to focal length.

Conclusion -- man these are two stellar pieces!

Could be the honeymoon phase but I am extremely impressed with the R1II and can't keep it out of my hands.
