Glad I checked the thread before ordering and saw the coupon code. Ordered double what I was going to since I saved half with it. Ordered 1,600 sheets of 4x6, a 8.5x11 50-pack of pro luster and two 10-packs of 13x19 pro platinum.

Glad I've got another printer still in the box since the one I'm currently using will be worn out before I use all this paper.

Everyday use: 7D2, 1.4x v3 Canon TC (sometimes the 2x v2 Canon TC), Canon 500mm f4 L IS USM; 6D, 24-105L

Tried again tonight to order. Went across the line to Blaine and bought a couple of Visa Prepaid cards thinking it might work. Nope. Now I'm stuck with 2 visa cards that can't even be used up here. So pissed right now. Missing such a good deal.

Killing me. Canon now has 8.5x11 Pro Lustre on sale for buy 1 get 4 free. Don't think it's as good but the promo code likely works again which means it's pretty good. I'll have to go to Blaine and apply for a US credit card I think.

They put some paper back in stock today. The usual buy one get 4 free and the discount code for 50% off works. Just ordered 5 packs of the pro platinum 8 1/2x11 for $13 shipped with tax. What's odd is that if I changed my order to 2 packs and 8 free ones then they were going to charge me $6 shipping. I'll just wait until tomorrow and order another 5 with free shipping. Kinda silly.

And it's out of stock again. Can anyone tell me if paper is normally always on sale?

The buy 1 get 4 free sales seem to occur in the late Oct to Dec quarter the last few years. They do have other sales during the year, i.e. buy 1 get 2 free, but the best one is around the holiday times. This year, Canon has extended and reloaded more frequently. I am guessing they are really trying to push the buy directly from Canon with the new website, updated software, and the rebate/sales on printers. Give away printers and paper cheap and get the customers to buy ink directly from them skipping the middle man.

Since the current rebate ends Jan 2, and how frequently them seem to restock, I would guess there is a good chance they will restock again.

I think it is a conspiracy, I think they know how much the ink costs to use all that paper, and it is a loss-leader to turn into big ink bills later.

That's exactly what it is. Plus clearing out older paper inventory.
