Just a couple shots around the house with the new (to me) Minolta 55mm f/1.9. Liked what I saw, but haven't been able to shoot outside much with all the rain lately.

TRhoads Cream of the Crop More info | Dec 15, 2015 20:42 | #10502 I updated the firmware on the Metabones tonight, I don't notice much of a difference if any at all...it went from .41 to .47. I am still amazed at how much sharper the images are with adapted lenses...even with my crappy $30 Helios 44-2 lens... Website

The world of vintage lenses can quickly get out of hand if you, and in general, it's great with manual focus lenses. Thats what put me off that one I guess I will see, based on reports it can do a lot more then metabones can't, metabones is still based on the first gen adapter design, they better be working on Mark V.

Some copies are really really really good. The one I had was at least. - Alex Corona Sony A7, Canon 7DM2/EOS M, Mamiya 645/67

Some copies are really really really good. The one I had was at least. It did have a defect so it wasn't a 100% identical copy of the Zeiss, but that defect is what gives it the swirly bokeh it's famous for. I don't know much about it, I knew it had the swirley bokeh thing going on, and that was why I bought it...figured I could do something creative with it from time to time...it is solid, Soviet I guess...just not what I would figure for a decent old lens...its fun, for sure. I like my old Minolta MC Rokkor lenses more and can't wait to try them out on the A7R. Website

Dec 16, 2015 05:17 | #10512 How are the chances of sony ever making a tilt shift lens? Im tired of those big and bulky canon tilt shifts and would love something like a 21mm shift lens (not even needing tilt) Sony A7RII | Sony A7S

I love the 24TSE...I think by design they are big and bulky, I don't see how they could be made smaller...the Canon ones are not too bad, some of the other ones available, albeit at MUCH higher prices are even bigger. I actually look forward to one day using the TSE on the A7R...it was the sharpest lens I have ever used on the native body...I can't imagine the clarity on the Sony. Website

I actually look forward to one day using the TSE on the A7R...it was the sharpest lens I have ever used on the native body...I can't imagine the clarity on the Sony. I just recently sold the TSE24II. I was amazed by its performance on the 6D, not so much on the A7R. The borders were not sharp, even unshifted. Quite a lot of CA's and smearing in the extreme corners. Overall, the lens didnt seemed as sharp as it was on the 6D. Quality wise its about the same as my CV15III which is like a third of the price of the TSE... Sony A7RII | Sony A7S

Eddie xpfloyd lookalike More info | Dec 16, 2015 07:45 | #10515 I'm finding the tse 24 ii fine on the a7rii. My initial images had a soft left side but after that first outing its been fine. I put it down to a alight misalignment with the adaptor. I dont mind about the size either as its a lens that stays in my landscape bag and when I shoot landscapes I dont mind the weight. Its not a lens I would keep in my daily bag Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV
