Very Uplifting ! Give that man a hand

The creative artist seems to be almost the only kind of man that you could never meet on neutral ground. He sees nothing objectively because his own ego is always in the foreground of every picture. - Raymond Chandler

AB800 camera right with a 48" soft box, speed light behind, and a reflector opposite the strobe. Gray paper backdrop about 6 ft behind. There was a little spill on my clothes that I dropped down in post. The hardest part by far was positioning my hand and arm to get the effect I wanted. Took a lot of attempts...

Well done! But generally I prefer kids to be kids, & look like them, so unless she'd the daughter of a King or Queen, I'd rather see that pose, lighting, & dress saved for when she's about 25?   ; )

Thank you. I like portraits with the light of "Rembrandt". On the other children, I do not see :)

Capital image! It's not Rembrandt, though, but open loop. ;)

Heh, I'm the opposite, I can't stand pictures of kids making faces, being all smeared with food, or in general being childish. Those images stop me for fractions of a second or put me off entirely, but this one, I've stared at it for a long count of seconds. Guess it comes from the family–my parents always insisted in propriety and serious and restrained deportment.

'The success of the second-rate is deplorable in itself; but it is more deplorable in that it very often obscures the genuine masterpiece. If the crowd runs after the false, it must neglect the true.' —Arthur Machen
