I'm saving my money.
We all (A6000 owners) know how awesome this camera is,
but in the Sony world of rapid camera body turnover it is undoubtedly
long in the tooth.
CES January is just around the corner with much much speculation on Sony's
next move(s).

Can you imagine either a 28 or 32mp BSI sensor in the A7000?
How about 14-15 fps?
Do you think they can add IBIS and 4K to it?

So let's have some fun speculating on the A7000.

IBIS would be sweet. Personally I don't care about 4k. 1080 is just fine for a camera not targeted at videographers. 15FPS would be fun but in all honesty 11 is plenty.

I think the biggest thing for me would be weather sealing it, IBIS, and improved tracking (I love it already but why not make it better).
That and new controls for the AF. Why they don't give you options like on high end AF DSLRs is beyond me. I need to be able to adjust the single point on the fly, a joystick would be helpful here. And some more creative options with group point selection would be nice. I think the 5diii and 7dii do a great job of this. Why not just copy that?

Bronic you've got sound logic going on.
One thing I doubt Sony would do is touch screen, but I've found on my Lumix GX8 that touch to focus wherever you want on the screen is very fast, intuitive, and can
release the shutter or just focus----of course its also neat for follow focus when doing video. The GX8 has a funky tilting viewfinder, tilted up just a little gives room for your
thumb to tap anywhere on the screen for focus/release yet you still have room for your eye to the EVF.
I'm with you on the video. I had a GH4 and shot one video to see if it worked so yes I'd choose IBIS over 4K for this camera.

Why do you doubt Sony would include a touch screen? For me that's the most important feature lacking from the a6000, and one that I'm counting on them including in the newer model. At least I certainly hope they do. It's the only reason I've not purchased the a6000 and continue to use the a5100, even with it's very rudimentary touch feature set. I really hope that they bring a dazzling touch interface to the table, with full menu controls (or at least quick menu), playback touch features, and of course AF touch features above and beyond what the a5100 has.

Why do I doubt? Because I have an A7Rii which would have been golden (esp for follow focus video) with touch, yet it doesn't have touch. I'm using the
A7Rii for wildlife and touch would be golden for grabbing the focus point you want and so quick compared to a joystick or wheel.

Yeah, seems like a missed opportunity for Sony there. Not sure why they (and most others) seem to think touch screens only belong on lower tier cameras. Every time I pick up my A7 and have to use buttons (?!) to position the AF point, it feels so archaic. I suppose the thing that gives me hope is that the most recent aps-c body from Sony had a touchscreen, so I can only assume their next one will as well. I hope your doubts are unfounded for all our sake.
