Hi guys, so I did my first newborn shoot yesterday, Ive been mentally preparing for it for a while, but I still see that I have much to learn. For example, I'm so used to being a portrait guy and when in "portrait" mode I shoot at 2.8 usually with my 70-200 like most.
I used a 50mm 1.8 and bumped it to between 1.8 and 2.8 however, after looking at most shots involving a setup (flooring, molding etc) everything is in focus so I think I failed myself by not bumping the aperture up to 5.6 etc and bumping up my iso. Even though the patio doors were behind me, I still would have achieved the DOF I was looking for so the molding and background were in focus... The client loves the pics so that's what maters... thoughts?
