Wow advaitin! Im really not into birds photography but the second shot is amazing. My chinese girlfriend has chinese paintings that look very much like this. I like this really much!

My wife's first words when she saw the image was that it reminded her of Japanese art. We lived there for three years in the mid '80s and I do like that asymmetric and spare style.

Amazing, what we differently find that resonates with all of us. You were right about the 70-400mm Sony. When it hits it is deadly accurate.

Anyone interested in an FD 85 1.2? I never got this thing sold. Open to offers. Planning to ebay this thing at the end of the week but wanted to give it one last push here.

Phenomenal lens and optically on par with the EF 85 1.2LII. AF lenses are a better fit for me though, since I photograph a lot of kids and events.

Pretty damned good photography. The only problem is that tornado activity has been going on for a very long time. It may be reflective of storms in the plains area, but but does not show climate change to my jaded eye.

As a young soldier, I was stationed at Ft. Sill during my last assignment and, very foolishly, chased a string of tornadoes on my motorcycle. The images in my head are great, but I didn't automatically carry a camera in those days.
