On second thought I popped open one of the full-sized 36 MP samples and am not quite as impressed. It's a CA machine for one thing. And it doesn't look amazingly sharp. Since I've got the excellent 16-35mm, I would struggle to be motivated to buy that one as well. Also, if they are going to optimize it for the a7 platform, why not just put the thing in an E mount already?

Seems they are listening. 10mm,12mm & 15mm all being released in Spring 2016 as E mount lenses.

...I've been using this lens nonstop since i purchased it three months ago. I use it on a non sony body so I am not sure if i can voice my opinion, but this lens is amazing! everything can easily be corrected in LR 5 when applying the lens profile!(very little correction/editing needed)

The 21mm is also a good lens but requires plenty of post work - 12mm, not so much !

Thank you! Yes it was indeed tack sharp, when i finally discovered that IBIS focal length set to 50mm blurs all pictures a slight bit. It was very frustrating at first and i blamed the lens for it first while in fact it was me :D

Nice images David. Very sharp. I still think I will be patient & wait for the E mount version. Had my eye on this one for some time.

Thank you, Eddie ! I was not aware of this issue at all. I think I am going to wait until better news comes along on this front. I don’t want to play the try-and-exhange game.
