Just in case anyone is wondering why my ISO and SS are so high, it's because it was a pretty dull day but mostly because the wind was blowing at somewhere between 40-60 mph and when the big gusts came IS was useless and it took me all my time to hold the camera up. However, the ptarmigan were going about their business as usual except that they did not fly away. I think they were grounded!
