Kid Rock performing at the Daytona 500. I'd never listened to his music before this, but I'm a fan now. This was at 21mm with the 16-70.

Sweet shot of Detriot's finest.

Just when I talk myself out of the 16-70, you post pics that talk me back into it!

Thank you. I can't find any fault with it. Build quality is excellent, zoom is smoother than any Canon I have.

Dipping my toes into the Sony world after being a Canon 5D user for the most part.

Still can't really seeing appreciate a difference between the Canon 5D classic and the A6000 at base ISO, the canon still punches considerably hard.

My keeper rate with the 5DC is much higher as a walk around lens.
Had the 5DC with metabones III and 35L and the A6000 with the sigma 19mm 2.8 ART for a photowalk through the local market and found i much prefer the images out of the 5DC at base ISO. Probably more a reflection of the 35L against the 19mm sigma ART.

These are unprocessed and shot in RAW

5DC

Then used the A6000 for a series of landscapes with the metabones III and the 35L and found that the files are much more pliable and real ease to work with, where the 5DC would just fall over when pushed.

A6000, processed to my own liking.

I'd say its likely the lens TBH, the Sigma isnt bad.. I personally prefer the shot of the Basket with the A6000 TBH has more punch and depth in my book. Maybe the 24mm Zeiss is up your alley from the sound, similar FOV to a 35 on the 5D?

On my screen at least the 5DC looks a hair more over exposed.. Its personal preference however...

Great landscape

Thanks for the feedback KenjiS. I do think it might be the Sigma, it was either the Sigma 19mm ART at a very good price or the Sigma 20mm 1.4 ART, which is still a very good price but reasonably more expensive.

The 20mm f/1.4 also needs an adapter doesnt it? Which sorta makes it a bit bigger/heavier/bulkier

FWIW from what ive seen the Sigma 19 is better than the Sony 20mm Pancake. The unfortunate weakness in Sony seems to be the affordable lenses are a bit.. Eh?

What you're seeing here is the reflections of two buildings. The upside down reflection is the 535 foot Wells Fargo Building in Jacksonville, reflected in its own pyramid shaped base. The other reflection is the top floors of the 24 story SunTrust Bank building across the street. Shot with the 16-70 at 26mm.

Here's a springtime trip on the crystal clear Silver River, Florida's largest magnitude 1 spring. This river winds through pristine wetlands populated by raccoons, possum, alligators, many species of birds and fish, and monkeys. The monkeys, which escaped from a movie company, have populated the area around the spring.
The horror/monster movie classic "Creature from the Black Lagoon" was filmed here.
Facts about the river:
