Off to a good start there Peter.... I always enjoyed your work in the Tamron 150-600 thread before I stopped following it once I sold mine; it will be good to be back in the same thread.

Thanks Graham I appreciate it, I am so impressed with 7D2 I feel like getting another one before the deal is over with B&H if money is not the issue. I remember with my 7D with the same distance of the swan I could not get sharper like this, the edges are more sharper with 7D2. My 7D is already 5 years old and still kicking and maybe because 7D2 is newer tech. Happy new year.

It's nice to see your photos show up here instead of you know where.

I'm so glad things worked out though it did take longer than necessary.

Since Rod is a stick in the mud, maybe dave needs a trip to the fur ?? This one is just exported from LR to jpeg for posting here so I did nothing to the raw file. ...His eye's are so black even in real life.

That's a pretty bird - looking good even in the low light.

Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.

This stick in the mud finally has a couple of pics to post. Both SOOC jpegs, shot with the tamron at 400mm, F8, 1/500 sec. First is only resized; second is pulled in to 50%, cropped and resized. The second shot of the ptarmigan is blown out a bit but hey. For the second I think it may be due to my settings. With auto ISO in 'M' mode I bottomed out at 100. Lucky to get anything. Took the shots from the truck as there was traffic approaching. Said traffic scared the birds away so I got what I got and didn't get a second chance.

Last night I set my c1-c3, and I did some also in shooting menu and during my lunch I went outcto the marina near my work to take some pictures of some ducks, when I put the dial mode in manual and tried to adjust the exposure compensation is now doing AE bracketing, In the 7D2 you can now adjust EC when you are in Manual mode.

I check the menu for Auto bracketing and the EC logo is grayed out. Can you tell me how to unlock thanks.

Peter

When using autobracketing, you can set it to turn off automatically (after the next set of bracketed shots), or manually. My guess is that you chose the later. You'll need to go back to the menu to turn it off.
