Just in case anyone is wondering why my ISO and SS are so high, it's because it was a pretty dull day but mostly because the wind was blowing at somewhere between 40-60 mph and when the big gusts came IS was useless and it took me all my time to hold the camera up. However, the ptarmigan were going about their business as usual except that they did not fly away. I think they were grounded!

Another hum dinger!! I can never understand why Scotland isn't one of the most visited places in the world, I love it to bits, yet the number of people from England who have never been, let alone from the rest of the world, amazing -? And long may it continue LOL
