I simply cannot believe how the X-T1 jpeg's can be pushed and pulled in Lightroom. This is not possible with a jpeg from my 5D MKIII. The reason I mostly process jpeg's now is that I have never been happy with the way Lightoom processes Fuji RAW files but I love to use Lightroom. Anyone else feel the same ???

I have no problems with Lightroom and raw files after an initial learning phase with my Fuji cameras. Some are a bit difficult in Lightroom and I might open them in Iridient Developer to get an idea what I can do there, but mostly I like the Lightroom results better - probably mainly because I'm better at using it. Iridient Developer can get great results, but I find it hard to use.

I use my Fuji cameras (was an X100s, traded it for an X-T10) like I used to a film camera. And I'm in my early 30s, so I never developed my own film. More like how I used to enjoy photography as a kid, taking interesting shots, and just really enjoying the camera and having fun taking shots. And then obviously I don't do any post-processing, what comes back from 24 hour photo or whatever it was is what I get.

I've gotten a good sense of what film simulation works for the scenes I want to shoot, and continue to experiment. So I just shoot in JPG, can usually nail exposure due to the EVF, and then those are the pics I end up with. Minimal PP, and the PP I do now is mostly on the JPGs.

So honestly my Fuji is probably the most unnecessary camera I own, but at the same time the most fun and enjoyable to shoot with.

I use LR for just about everything, never had a problem with the Fuji files. They respond to inputs a little differently than other files, but once you learn how to work with them they offer just as much leeway in editing IMO.

Took my X-Pro back with me for the Christmas holidays, leaving the DSLR at "home"; it was great for travelling with. I could shove it in a backpack to go away for a few days; or even in my coat pocket when climbing mountains; barely even noticed it was there and produces great results.

Solway Firth ... the stretch of water between North-West England, and Scotland.
