I've had my 60D for about three years now, and still don't feel any compelling need to upgrade. It's capable of more than I am aware and I am still learning about some of its features. As mentioned above, the tilt/swivel LCD was a big feature for me too. I had gotten spoiled by that feature on my Canon G5 and held off on getting a DSLR until I could get one with the same type screen. A big help for low angle and overhead shooting and great for protecting the LCD when not in use.

Recently bought a Yongnou YN565EX flash and it can be set as a slave and fired wirelessly with the 60D. That's another one of those features I'm just now growing into that didn't seem so important when I bought the camera. Here's a couple shots from my first outing with the new flash, just mounted on the camera hot-shoe and bounced off a white ceiling.

I have a 60D and a 5DIII. My 60D sees more use, because it has more features to offer:

- Lightweight: 60D +EFS18-200+ Sigma 8-16 is an inexpesive travel kit. I take it when we go to Europe and stay in places without safes to lock the gear up.

- Reach: If the AF does not need to be state of the art. I have to say though that crop photos from the 5DIII are just as good.

- Flip screen: When you need it, there is no substitute!

- Flash Commander: Although I bought Yongnuo 622 C and TX and an extra Yongnuo flash. still the 60D with the built-in flash as a master is the quick, go-to setup.

Did I say lightweight? :-D Last time I took the 5DIII + EF 24-70 + EF 70-200 on a trip, I had my Sherpa with me.

The IQ of the 5DIII and the AF capabilities are unsurpassed, so it goes for all specific photo projects....

I took this one last month. Haven't edited it or anything, so this is a completely untouched version.
