A very nice serene, relaxing scene - thanks for sharing. Was your shooting position from a boat or the shoreline? I can't remember the conversion calculation but I just KNOW THAT -21C has to be a very cold Fahrenheit.......:cry:

Thanks! It is cold yeah :) -5.8 F if google is right. It's been a few really cold days so the sea has started to froze up. I was standing on the frozen sea, about 20 meters from shore. There on the ice looked too thin for me to go any further :)

F = C times 9 divided by 5 plus 32

Anything less then 8*C and I just stop functioning! That said, I'd brave the world to get some macro shots of that frost!
For some reason though, I don't think I'd want to walk on that stuff...unless I'm really wrong and it's solid enough to drive a tank on.

Hahah. Now that its only -12 C it feels so warm! I've been walking on ice for a long time so I know when it's strong enough :) Now thats a good idea. I should dust my MP-E and go have a look

The shots are wonderful, but braving that cold is ridiculous. Here in California, I am shivering when the temperature drops to 15C

I've taken shots like that in that cold or colder weather. I know you can't be outside in that for very long either.

Shampoo sounds like an unfortunate name for a hair product.

Couple hours but you have to cloth properly and keep moving, if not anything else jumping on spot helps alot :)
