I love this lens, although the 100-400 is calling me. These are all from yesterday at Wakodahatchee Wetlands with a 7Dii.

I was at that wetland last April and love that place with all the nesting birds. I've got to get back there and spend more time. Looks like there is still a lot of activity there - does it ever slow down? What's the peak time for nesting birds? Have you spent time at the Brian Piccalo park for the Burrowing Owls?

Where I live we don't have any beautiful birds to shoot but I did get a nice squirrel shot, got this lens used off this forum, no editing this was straight from the camera.

Before I got this lens, kept reading that one should use a tripod. I really don't like using tripods and so far haven't used one and don't intend too and am pretty happy with the results. Stiill waiting for that really sunny day though when I'm sure I'll see the best of this lens. Here's a Blue Rock Thrush.
