Thanks Will! I'm still around a bit. I just post more to some of the different threads. If i get nice 60D shot I'll throw that up, but mostly to animals or lens samples.

It's not, however this is just east of the island. It's called Farmington bay.

A photo of a small whitetail buck taken this afternoon. Like most photography in these parts this time of the year, a cloudy, dark, overcast day. All in all, it didn't turn out to bad. Pretty high ISO for my camera. Will be fun to take a few pics with this lens when there is some nice light.

Apart from the extra reach would I gain much in IQ from my Tamron 70-300 VC? It is a very good lens for the money but not at 300mm wide open.

I got my 150-600 when it came out early 2015 and I can count on one hand how many times I have used my 70-300L IS since then....

I just got the 55-250 STM which essentially has the same IQ at my 70-300L... so its for sale.

I am very happy with the Sigma's IQ. I suffered with 300mm for too long shooting wildlife & BIF, very happy to have 600mm on a crop sensor.

First time out shooting after receiving the dock and having the C1 set to maximize the focus speed and OS. Not at all unhappy with the results.

This one is a pretty good size crop from the original.

So I was hoping to get some use out of my lens this weekend. I forgot about there has been a nesting eagles like 10min from my house for past few years. So i went over yesterday morning to see if I can get any shots. So the few photographers there told me they flew out at 730am and havnt been back yet. So I waited for an hour and then left to come back to my car to see someone broke into it..WTF was a total fail of a day. Luckily they only broke a small vent glass in the rear door and nothing was in the car just made a mess of papers. I am glad I decided to leave my bag at home and just take my body and lens and not leave the bag in the car of my other gear

A weekend in Norfolk testing out new camera bodies reminded me just how awesome the lens actually is.

Almost dusk and light had dropped hugely, and massive crop here. That you can make out any details is something of a surprise as the owl was over 500metres away and flying erratically.

Bought this about a week ago and haven't had any good light since. The snow and inversion just don't want me seeing the full potential of this glass I guess. Anyhow, here's one of the best I've been able to get with it snowing.
