Those Tundra are pretty awesome. I've been at the Toyota dealership 6 times in the last 2 weeks debating between the Tundra and the 4Runner. The salesman probably hates me at this point.
I think you'll be fine with either. I'd prefer the 4Runner, but I'm not you. Just want to plug Toyotas, if you please. All of these were bought used. Got my daughter a Tercel with 195,000 miles on it. Ran fine. She wrecked in three weeks. Bought a '91 Camry with 50,000 on it. Tuned it up at 211,000 and it still had the original plugs in it. It was running fine when I played deer-tag and totalled it with 267,000 miles on it. I replaced it with a '98 Camry. That one was running fine when I took out a telephone pole at 243,000 miles. All three of them wrecked at highway speeds. Nobody hurt.
Take-away points. Toyotas are built to run forever. They are built to sacrifice themselves, and save you, in the event of a collision. And finally, don't loan your Toyota to anyone in my family. Apparently, we don't drive well.
