Not the worlds best example of focusing as I was shooting for motion blur at 1/10-1/20 seconds, but here's a black car in the late evening & I think the AIServo did it's job.

Give a review after you do some test shots. I am also thinking about getting the non-IS version.

I had a chance to use it a bit over the weekend. I am impressed! Images were sharp even at 2.8. I paid particular attention to images at 4.0 and 5.6, but I did snap a few test shots at 2.8.

This lens is heavier than I expected. I definitely need to get a battery grip for my 7dmk2 in order to balance it better with this lens.

In terms of focus I saw no lag or hunting whatsoever. I didn't use it with the hood it came with, however I saw no issues with flare.

Overall I am very happy with this lens. I have been a Nikon fan for many years and own the comparable 80-200mm 2.8 AF-ED; there is no comparision though. This Canon non IS version is sharper and much better built than its Nikon counterpart. I have absolutely no regrets having purchased this Canon 70-200 mm 2.8L non IS.
