Just wanted to stop by the home page and say hi. Got a few new toys the last few months and thought I'd share a photo.
This was with the Sigma 150-600 and 6D

Nice one D. I've thought more than once about acquiring that lens.

Thanks Stro! I'm still out on it since the weather here hasn't been that great to judge how well it shoots. Poor lighting because of snow and smog. One day I'll get to shoot it in sunlight.

I'm well pleased with mine... selling my 70-300L IS, bought the 55-250 STM for a steal of a price... 1/10th the price of my 70-300 but same sharpness in the focal range...

I never had the STM version, but my 55-250 was the sharpest lens in my gears at the time.

Still not sure where I stand on this lens. I think I'm expecting 400 2.8 quality, but still getting usable shots. I'm not getting the shots of the moon I'd like and the others in the 600 thread are getting some nice shots. Maybe I have to adjust it or maybe just a bad copy?

Yes... It is possible you are in the wrong thread. We won't really know until you write something a little more substantive... we will all pause for a bit while you gather your thoughts.

Was referring to Dustin's post, maybe I misunderstood but thought he was asking a specific question about the Sigma 150-600 but after re-reading maybe he was asking 60D users for their experience with the Sigma? Sorry for the confusion.

I fully apologize to you and the thread members for my inhospitable reply. Have seen too many rude remarks in this forum and I read your's wrong. I am sorry about that.

No worries and no apology needed Will, my post was overly short and not constructive.

Back to some more excellent 60D images...

Mark

I like that 3rd sunset shot a lot :)

I've always had trouble with moon shots without a tripod. Are you trying hand-held? Also, I'm sure the Sigma needs more light (for other stuff, like wildlife).

This was a reply to Stro about getting the lens. It's up closer to the top.
