Basketball Night

I been shooting basketball for about two seasons now. So far the parents likes my work, but every time I see some of the work here, I go back and try harder
I started shooting basketball with a 70D and my Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 EX DG HSM II. After 5 years of having the Sigma, I decided to sell it and get the Canon 70-200 f/2.8 IS USM II. So now I am shooting my 70D with the Canon 70-200. I am using DXO Optics Pro 10 to clean the noise.
First time posting pictures in this forum, long time reader of these forums. BTW, thanks for teaching the newbies like me.
Two were taken using the Sigma and the other two using the Canon. C & C are welcome.

nice. I am curious as to your thoughts and real world results in comparing the sigma to the canon, on the same body and same shooting conditions.

I have the sigma 70-200 and it's still paired up with my old t3I. I am not happy with the results after I see all of you and your pictures lol. I am still new at this and I know I need to upgrade my equipment still...

I am leaning towards getting the 7dII first to see how that affects results as I think the t3I is at its limits and then assessing whether I need/want to trade the sigma for the canon somehow so I'm curious since you kept the same body and swapped the lens for the same game/situation.

I used to paired my Sigma 70-200 with my XSi, and I was satisfied with the results shooting mostly baseball, soccer (in good light) and school plays (high school theater lights). I tried to shoot volleyball and basketball with this combo, and the results were bad.

After 5 years I decided to upgrade to the 70D, the 7DII came about 2 months after I got the 70D, and started shooting volleyball and basketball. The results with this combo, 70D + Sigma 70-200, were great. I am able to shoot at 1/640 - 1/1000 at f2.8, something that is not possible with the XSi. The XSi ISO can only go to 1600. An opportunity came where someone offer a good amount of cash for my Sigma, and with that money and some savings I upgrade to the Canon 70-200 IS II.

I have used this 70D + Sigma 70-200 to shoot baseball and soccer and I was very happy with it. Something I noticed between the Sigma and the Canon is that both AF are very comparable, but the Canon has the edge. I also have a Sigma APO TC 1.4x DG, that I use to shoot soccer. When using it with the Sigma 70-200 I noticed that the AF was not very consistent, and my keeper rate was about 30%. When I used same TC with Canon 70-200, my keeper rate increased to 50-60%. My keeper rate with out TC was about the same with both lenses.
